So yesterday I remembered about geohashing.
Thought: "Huh, it's been like three years since I made this account and I never even did a single hash..."
Thought: "I should do one"
And the algorithm must have heard me, because, conveniently placed roughly along my commute was a simple hash:
Park your car next to the field and walk into the middle of the field.
Easy! Perfect for the first time. Right.

Google Maps shows some narrow looking roads, but that's pretty normal.
I can place my car in this dirty spot next to the entrance to the field:

It won't be muddy because it's really sunny today.
I'll try navigating to the right spot in the field with What3Words.

Expedition

Turned off the road that bypasses Hadleigh into unknown territory.
scary! because I never usually "go somewhere different".
Then drove through Kelsey - a very nice looking small village, very Suffolk
(ancient houses, big church, etc.) also hilly
Just past this was the dirt patch and the entrance to the field

I started the strava tracklog and began to navigate to the hash using What3Words' compass.
thing pointed straight at a patch of funny yellow flowers... rape i think?
started foolishly stomping through them thinking that was the entire field.
then popped out the other side to just grass. oh well
in that moment, I was Out Standing In My Field (wasn't my field)

stood on the point and went back to the car, avoiding the jungle.
Next time I'll remember! Don't go headfirst into the crops. Look around first.
