Expedition
I drove to Peninsula Park, with the idea of running to the hashpoint two miles away and then running back, for a total of four miles. Off I went, through the continual rain that we've been, um, enjoying for the last few months. When I got to the school, the mileage tracker on my phone said 2.00 miles, so that seemed pretty good.
I went into the empty schoolyard, squelched out into the grass to the hashpoint, and took a few pictures. Everything was very wet.
I ran back towards Peninsula Park, and actually overshot a little. Four miles was about as good as I could do under the conditions. I took a few pictures of myself looking like a drowned rat, walked back to the car, and was pleased that I had thought to pack a towel. I drove home with the heater on, gently steaming.
Repercussions from this adventure would continue the next day, starting at 2022-06-11 46 -122.
