Planning
As I saw this geohash on my RSS reader in the office, I was excited: This geohash was the closest one to my usual commuting range since Geohashing came to my mind, and at the same time it was an easy one: Just located about 60 meters away from the next road over in a meadow.
Expedition
Since my work day started calmly in the forenoon (no customers called and had some sort of freaking problems (usually PEBKAC) with their machines), I thought of getting there in my late lunch break. That said, I started to pack my things at around 2 p.m. I opened the front door, and thought: Forget it! The sun was beating down mercilessly. It was just too hot, it must have had over 35 °C (overall it was the hottest day up to that in the year 2010). Wild horses couldn't drag me there.
So I got back to my cubicle and decided to reach the hash after closing time. Well, that's what I thought I could do, but things went down from that point. In the end I unfortunately had no time to find that geohash.
At least I'd earn a honorable mention on the cubicle achievement. But, no change, in the end it was only a almost honorable mention with a distance to my cubicle of 1812.35 meters. Well, better than nothing. ;-)
Achievements
Michi earned the cubicle geohash almost honorable mention
