Location

The hash is located in "De Mortelen", woods that Palmpje has visited some time before in search of a rather old geocache. No luck that time.

Participants

Palmpje went to look for this hashpoint (with vague hopes of being able to reach it) and also to have another try at the cache.

Plans

Park at one of the waypoints of the cache, walk about half a kilometer and hope that the hash can be reached.

Expedition

Everything went well. Another cache near Eindhoven airport that could not be found a previous time was found and eventually Palmpje parked at the designated spot. A short walk and then he had to conclude that the hashpoint was out of reach. With only 27m to go the point was in a part of the woods that was out of bounds.

Having said all this, the day ended in pure misery. A few kilometers from home (this hash was about 100km away as the crow flies) Palmpje's car broke down (again!). Just about to leave the highway the enige started spluttering and before anything could be done everything just shut down! A tow truck had to come and in the end the engine had to be replaced (again!) - mainly at the expense of the car manufacturer (again!), phew!

Palmpje earned the No trespassing consolation prize

by almost (27m) reaching the (51, 5) geohash on 2019-05-30.

Is it true that Palmpje earned the Train wreck consolation prize?

In principle, yes.
But his car broke down hours after the failed geohash attempt (2019-05-30 51 5).
