I crossed the France-Switzerland border with the train and arrived in Basel at 10:08. After pondering on which bank of the Rhine to travel, I decided to go where data roaming is free. So I crossed the river and the Switzerland-Germany border and cycled along the right bank of the Rhine until Laufenburg.

Laufenburg used to be a city on the Rhine until someone decided to put a border there. Now it is divided into two homonymous towns, connected by an old stone bridge and a newer, [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hochrheinbrücke#Baufehler lopsided], concrete bridge.

Expedition

I crossed the France-Switzerland border with the train and arrived in Basel at 10:08. After pondering on which bank of the Rhine to travel, I decided to go where data roaming is free. So I crossed the river and the Switzerland-Germany border and cycled along the right bank of the Rhine until Laufenburg.
