Springbrook Prairie is a roughly 7.4 square kilometer nature preserve that I have driven past many, many times but have never visited before. This hash on the southern edge near the loop trail was the perfect opportunity, and I could run some other errands nearby after the expedition. I parked at the dog park portion which was closest to the point, and set off on a roughly 1 mile walk along the trail. The open prairie was beautiful and full of white and golden wildflowers, and the temperature was absolutely perfect for a lovely walk. I soon came near to the point, but found it was across about 100 yards of tall prairie grasses. It actually seemed to be closer to the road margin along the border of the nature area, so I backtracked a bit until the trail came near the road and approached the point from along the road. The point happened to be under a tree, so it made a wonderful shady spot to get my pictures and screenshots. Afterwards, I stepped out of the tall grass, checked for any insect hitchhikers, and enjoyed a pleasant walk back to the car to on with my day.

Expedition
