After learning about geohashing a few months ago, I was eager to go to my first spot, and planned a few tedious trips to some geohashes which were technically possible (and forgetting about quite a few), when suddenly this one appeared. 3 weeks into my stay in New Zealand, this geohash was within a block of my office (850 m away) and right on the sidewalk. Piece of cake!

I went after lunch for a walk around the city center, and I had actually not been here before, so a good reason to go out. It wasn't a particularly inspiring corner of the city center however. It took me 10 minutes go get to the exact spot, which luckily was just outside of the building, rather than inside.
