Plans

I live in Monmouth, Oregon. My car is well overdue for an oil change, and the nearest Jiffy Lube is in Corvallis. Today I went to get my car taken care of, and before I left the house I checked today's coordinates. Luckily for me, today's point was just a little ways off of Highway 99W between Monmouth and Corvallis. It would be a trivial matter to change my oil in Corvallis and hit up the hash point on my way home.

Expedition

I parked my car on the shoulder of the road and walked into a field. It wasn't very far in; and the surrounding scenery wasn't that exciting. It was definitely agricultural land, but I didn't see any crops or livestock. Unfortunately, the batteries in my camera were dead, and I didn't have Lizzy97396's camera for a backup, so I don't have any pictures. So, even though I have no hard proof that I was at the hash point, I DO have a receipt for Jiffy Lube which verifies that I was in Corvallis today, and the map will show that the hash point was close enough to my normal route that it is not a stretch of the imagination to believe that I made the visit. In addition to this, I passed the Benton County Aerodrome on my way to the hashpoint, and I would only know that place existed if I had actually driven past it.

It's not much, but it's the best I can do.

Achievements

I technically achieved the Minesweeper Geohash for successfully reaching hash points in this graticule as well as the neighboring McMinnville and Springfield graticules. However, since I don't have photographic proof of today I won't take the ribbon unless the geohashing community decides that today counts.
