Plans

I doubted I'd get access to the hashpoint, but it was nearby, so I figured I'd at least to look at the pretty scenery.

Expedition

Well, the expedition didn't got very well. I didn't expect I'd be able to access the hashpoint, but I also expected that I'd be able to find it and take pictures. As it turned out, that wasn't an option. On my last trip, the GPS ran out of power, so I grabbed the spare batteries out of the camera case and fed it so it was happy.

However, in this case, the problem was that after a month or more, the camera needed new batteries and I hadn't replaced the batteries in the case with recharged ones.

So, I could take pictures, or use the GPS, but not both, having only one set of batteries.

So, I drove to close to the hashpoint, realized I wasn't going to make it and powered down the GPS, allowing me to take pictures on the way back. It seems odd how many hashpoints have ended up on Dixon Mill Road. I should see if I can get our friends who used to live there to introduce us around so I can call on people who I've actually met to get access to their land!
