Expedition

I looked at the hashpoint and decided it made sense to at least try for it in the evening on my way home.

I grabbed the coordinates, and programmed them into my GPS on my way home, which included a trip on Portland's Aerial Tram. The final piece was when I grabbed the directions into the Google Maps App from WiFi near Merlo Road MAX.

And I started out down SW 170th. That's about where things went off the rails. I got to a fork in the road and headed in what I thought was the right direction However, when I went to consult the map, I discovered that although he new version of the App claims to have cached the most recent trip plan, it seemed to have picked a previous version. I'm all in favor of public transit, but not late at night, when I'm already in my car half way there.

So, that data proved useless and while the GPS was very useful pointing the general direction, getting there was non-trivial if I remembered correctly. I wandered around for a bit hoping something would appear that I remembered from the directions I'd briefly glanced at, then gave up and headed home.
