Expedition

The home graticule point fell in the sea. This one was far enough east to be reachable and the conditions were good. It was above freezing, dry and there was good moonlight. Wayland is more famous for its prison but the wood was perhaps more pleasant to visit. There were several tracks in the wood but I still managed considerable stupidity distance. I took the wrong track and made the mistake of trying to cut across. I'll be picking twigs out of my hair and pockets for days. Close to the hashpoint, the GPS reception became poor so there was quite a lot of blundering around to get the distance below 5 metres. Eventually I got a screen shot at one metre after my phone battery died. Then I had trouble finding my way back to the path. What fun it is to go geohashing!
