If today's location is under floodwater, it probably won't be much fun to geohash there, so please try to find an alternate (preferably dry) location.

Additionally, the town of Parkersburg was hit by a tornado on May 25, 2008, and the town has been cordoned off; only residents and approved volunteers and visitors are allowed in. As such, a geohash near the town is not likely to be viable.
