Expedition

This was a rather uneventful trip, but we had a lot of fun nevertheless. For instance, about 10 minutes into the trip after having stopped for lunch we realized that we had forgotten to bring a camera and had to turn around. And by "we" I of course mean "Jessi".

The route ended up being almost identical to the trip we made last weekend for 2010-04-10 40 -86, so we were traveling in familiar territory. This will probably be a frequent occurrence since the majority of Indiana looks exactly the same and follows a pretty common pattern of roads in a grid pattern with farms in between. After about forty minute drive which was lengthened by a now-familiar detour, we drove on some back roads (paved this time) out to a field and found the coordinates after wandering around with our not-so-fancy GPS device. Personally, I think it's quite an adventure having only coordinates and no bearing arrow or distance for guidance. Plus, we get to look silly doing it!

We took a few pictures at the hash and headed back to the car, picking up some trash along the way. The drive home was uneventful except for rocking out to Avril Lavigne and getting caught behind a tractor. It was a nice tractor, however, and pulled over to let us pass after a bit. I mark this adventure as...success!
