Expedition Report

Koepfel

Just like yesterday's and tomorrow's and last week's hashpoint, this one could be reached with the S4. As usual, I took a tram to Durlacher Tor and entered the 20:34 S4 to Bretten, where I changed into a S9. Unlike yesterday, where I took a northbound S9, this one went south to Mühlacker, also passing near the 2010-02-22 49 8 hashpoint. By 21:12, I arrived in Ölbronn-Dürrn.

While it was getting darker minute by minute, I left the station (which is a bit outside the village) and went hashwards. Eventually, I turned into the Gottlob-Frick-Weg, which would lead me into the forest, to the hashpoint. As I entering the forest, it became dark, so I took out my flashlight, only to find out that it's batteries were pretty much dead, only glowing bright for a few seconds.

Luckily, it wasn't even 22:00 yet, so some light still fell trhough the trees. I managed to find the hashpoint in some forest clearing. I took a few photos using my camera's flash, tried to see where I was using the not-very-brightly glowing flashlight. I didn't leave a marker, as the hashpoint would no longer be valid in 2 hours anyway, also the ground was muddy so I didn't want to knee down to write one.

It wasn't too interesting at the hashpoint, so I went back to the village and back to the station. After waiting for about half an hour, at 22:47 I took a S9 back to Bretten. There, at 23:00, I changed into a S4, which would bring me to the next hashpoint, to Wössingen.
