Location

A suburban neighborhood in McLean, VA.

Expedition

This hash, like most in Northern Virginia, was pretty unremarkable. I've found that when I journey to Washington DC, the hashes are usually tucked in unique spots in interesting neighborhoods, thanks to DC's combination of green space, fascinating history, and beautiful buildings. On the other hand, when I hash in Northern Virginia (where I live), the hashes tend to almost always be in suburban neighborhoods in front of expensive homes. Today's hash, in a suburb called McLean, Virginia, which is the third-wealthiest city in the entire United States, was no exception.

In the course of the actual expedition, I drove to the hashpoint, parked nearby, and walked to the point. It was located on the side of the road, pretty much right on the curb. I took a photo of the surrounding area, went back to my car, and drove home. Although unremarkable, it was nice to spend my lunch break getting out of the house and going for a drive, hitting another hashpoint along the way.
