MikroKosmos, do you plan on coming? If yes, tell me when under this message, I'm very flexible. I don't want to miss you for the seventh time.

18:00 = Just've seen the coordinates. May be there ~ @ 18:40-50.

Too late, I'm afraid – I saw no answer so I went there at meetup time, 4 pm. --π π π (talk) 20:58, 27 May 2021 (UTC)

I checked the daily coordinates just at 18 o'clock. A quick look at the current events page showed a message/question by π π π. I guessed the time to cycle there, wrote a note for him and packed my gear. After a last look for response, I cycled on wet streets towards the airport and reached the area at 18:45, as calculated before.

As the hash lay just 5 meters behind a surrounding ditch on grassland and even directly(!) behind a passage over that ditch, it was quite easy to reach. I found traces of π π π - his usual cross - at the hash. There, my GPSr toggled between 0 and 1 meters distance. At 18:52, after taking some photos, I cycled back home - sure of having missed π π π. :-(

Seems, yesterday evening I didn't check todays coordinates well. The page with the coordinates is already one of my browser's starting pages. I will add the "current events" page, too.

There was no response from MikroKosmos by 3:20 pm and I didn't want to wait too long, so I just went there at meetup time. I took the A1, A2 and U1 trains to Ochsenzoll and then cycled 4.1 km to the hash, which lay on a high-grown meadow right next to the Ohechaussee, a busy street. I passed only 350 m from my grandparents' house, but couldn't visit as they were on holiday. There was an entry to the hashfield with a bridge over the ditch right in front of the hash and I only had to walk a few metres, it hardly could've been more convenient. I took pictures and went to the nearby Rugenwedelsau creek at the edge of the meadow. Just as I took photos, my phone went black due to low battery (at 5%!) before I could finish, I had apparently forgotten to charge it last night.

So I had to discard my plans of visiting the Geohashing Day 2017 retrohash, which I'd considered going for on Geohashing Day a week before if that day's hash had been unreachable and which was only 340 m from there, quite a coincidence. So I laid a cross at the hash for MikroKosmos, should he arrive later, and wanted to cycle to Garstedt station. But I had to do so by memory since my phone was dead, and of course I got lost because I didn't want to just follow the main road, but I didn't mind that much. On the way, I ate one of the best apples I've ever had. Eventually, I found a bus stop with a map and noticed I was practically right next to the station. As the it is located in a shopping centre, I figured I might as well go to the bookstore and read a little or look around – I don't think I'd been to a large shopping centre since the pandemic began. So I spent some time in the Herold Center and then took the same three trains home.

Someday we'll meet again, MikroKosmos, but it would be helpful if you checked the coordinates the day before. I'll make sure to always create the page beforehand so we can coordinate.
