I'd been on expeditions the previous two days, so this hash was well worth the bit of trouble to get my second 3-in-a-row [[Consecutive Geohash]] (probably would've went for it anyway). It lay extremely conveniently on a sidewalk just 500 m from a train station, but first I had to get there. I couldn't do it in the evening because I was planning to attend ''Critical Mass Hamburg'' (which I did), so I had to visit before I went to the Observatory. I boarded the A3 to Langenmoor, which took 45 minutes, and then cycled the short distance to the hashpoint. It had rained very heavily on the ride, but fortunately it calmed down significantly while I was outside. I had to dance for several minutes to find an acceptable location on an area of fallen leaves (is it autumn already?) only a metre from the quiet street. Several people passed me, and I waited a while to take photos of Norma and myself. Then I cycled 2.3 km through the city to Elmshorn station, from where my train to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof was supposed to depart soon. But, as often with regional trains, it arrived 15 minutes late, which gave me time to eat something, but meant I arrived at the Observatory only shortly before lunchtime.

Plans

Can't pass up the opportunity to get three consecutive hashes, so I'll the train to Elmshorn before going to the Observatory.

Expedition

I'd been on expeditions the previous two days, so this hash was well worth the bit of trouble to get my second 3-in-a-row Consecutive Geohash (probably would've went for it anyway). It lay extremely conveniently on a sidewalk just 500 m from a train station, but first I had to get there. I couldn't do it in the evening because I was planning to attend Critical Mass Hamburg (which I did), so I had to visit before I went to the Observatory.
