Because it had rained heavily, I went around to the back of the forest so I wouldn't have to cycle through the mud (I knew the only half a square kilometre large forest from [[2020-02-26 53 9]]). I left my bike at the edge and walked the small path into the forest for 270 m, then had to climb across a small nettle-filled ditch where I sustained a few burns and walk into the forest for 60 m. I absolutely love being in forests, especially after it has rained, and this forest was particularly invigorating because of the heavy shrubbery and logs on the ground, with little human interference. I hashdanced in some ferns at the edge of a small clearing until I found an acceptable position, then took photos of the breathtakingly beautiful scenery, as well as of me and [[2021-07-13 53 10#Announcement|Lumie]] (who loved it just as much). I would've loved to linger a bit longer, but had to head back to catch my train, which I managed just in time, trying not to run over any of the countless slugs on the path (they were abundant in the forest as well).
