At around about 3:20pm, my brother, my father and I left home on our bikes. We crossed over the Daws/Goodwood/Springbank intersection, and went into the suburb(?) of the geohash. We rode alond Springbank Road for a bit, and I think this was the first time I've ever used a bike lane on a main road. It was... scary? ish? It was kind of cool when there were no cars whooshing by next to me, at least.

Shortly after that, we rode through the side-streets towards the train line that we needed to cross over. My dad decided not to cross over at a road intersection, so we crossed further up. We did have to wait for a train; thank goodness it wasn't a ''freight'' train.

Finally, we turned on to Rosevear Street, and I definitely-not-creepily parked my bike out the front of number 5 and walked up and down the sidewalk a bit, trying to get the geohash inside the error radius. And I did! I screenshotted it, took an image of my Fitbit and failed to get the mailbox in the background in focus, and took a screenshot of Google Maps for proof. <strike>And now I can die happy.</strike>

Plans

There weren't really many plans for this expedition, but after being told by Fippe via Discord on the 25th that both that day's and today's geohashes were close, I decided that I would try to see if I could do either. I was unable to do yesterday's (mostly due to not having enough time), but today's was achievable.

Basically, the plan was to ask my parents if I could go on a bike ride (to geohash), and they said yes. That was it.

Expedition

At around about 3:20pm, my brother, my father and I left home on our bikes. We crossed over the Daws/Goodwood/Springbank intersection, and went into the suburb(?) of the geohash. We rode alond Springbank Road for a bit, and I think this was the first time I've ever used a bike lane on a main road. It was... scary? ish? It was kind of cool when there were no cars whooshing by next to me, at least. Shortly after that, we rode through the side-streets towards the train line that we needed to cross over. My dad decided not to cross over at a road intersection, so we crossed further up. We did have to wait for a train; thank goodness it wasn't a freight train. And now I can die happy.

Is it true that XXOs earned the Holy hash achievement?
In principle, yes.
But while the hash was on the same street as a church, it didn't land at the church. (2021-09-26 -34 138).
