This user earned the Border geohash achievement
by crossing an international border on [[{{{date}}} {{{latitude}}} {{{longitude}}}|{{{date}}}]] to reach the ({{{latitude}}}, {{{longitude}}}) geohash.

Awarded to anyone who crosses an international border for the express purpose of attending a geohash. A border is the line of demarcation between any two political entities that are generally recognized as distinct countries, but they don't need universal recognition, nor does there have to be passport control or other official presence at the border.

Proof

In addition to the regular proof of reaching a geohash, ideally a photograph of the border crossing would be included in your gallery, but as photography is forbidden at some border crossings, photographs of road signs or other distinctive national features either side of the border would be acceptable.

Special Awards

You probably deserve special recognition if you cross a disputed border to reach a geohash, have to get a visa in order to cross the border to reach a geohash, or are strip searched in the process of crossing a border to reach a geohash. The last would not count as an Underpants Geohash or Geoflashing unless the geohash is actually IN the interrogation room. And if you calculate that the geohash is in the interrogation room, and arrange to be stripsearched there in order to achieve the geohash, you qualify for the Extreme Dedication Geohash award.
