This user earned the Trail of blood consolation prize
by being too injured to reach the ({{{latitude}}}, {{{longitude}}}) geohash on [[{{{date}}} {{{latitude}}} {{{longitude}}}|{{{date}}}]] ..

Place this ribbon over the wound, apply pressure, and phone immediately for medical help.

You take this consolation prize when your geohashing expedition must end without reaching the hashpoint because you or a member of your party is injured.

If the injured party member chooses to continue and the ultimately reaches the geohash, then you should probably create an Only a Flesh Wound achievement, instead. Of course if the injury is caused by raptors, the Raptor geohash achievement is already available.

Winners

Ekorren didn't get really close to 2011-10-02 48 9 because he noticed a step in the way a little bit too late, breaking parts of the equipment (including bike and clothes) and leaving considerable amounts of blood at the site. He was able to get back home without help, though.

Honorable Mentions

  • GarafaJon wiped out nicely on his motorcycle and didn't feel like moving on.
  • JimmyNZ after taking on the ever forgiving New Zealand bush on this unsuccessful hash (warning bloody mans knee shown)
  • 1PE sustained a rearrangement of his anatomy during an unscheduled bike-dismount for 2012-08-20 -35 149. Adding "insult to injury", the golf club's security fence prevented him reaching the hash just several hundred metres beyond.
