The underwater geohash is achieved by a geohasher who is documented to be present at a geohash location while fully underwater. In addition to either scuba gear or really large lung capacity, this will probably require either a waterproof GPS and camera, or clear water for others to photograph you through. Sticking your head in a bucket of water while at a land geohash does not qualify for this award.
