This geohash looked like it was going to be quite easy. Simply drive up and into the carpark, jump out, take some photos, and it would be a success. So after finishing college for the day, I headed off down to Port Botany. I had never actually been down to the Port before, and so it was quite an interesting drive.
Port Botany is Sydney's commercial shipping port, and so the place is literally lined with thousands and thousands of shipping containers that go in and out of the port every day. As I found Bumborah Point Rd, I realised that this geohash was actually going to be located within the official area of Port Botany.
As I entered the Port, I realised that perhaps this geohash was not going to be as easy as I first thought. Every few hundred metres were massive signs warning of high security areas. Every building had massive 'No Entry' and 'Security Clearance Required' signs. I found the carpark I was after, and sure enough there was no way that I was going to get into that carpark. Not only that, but I also wasn't going to even be able to stop in the street and take photos. Large signs warned me very sternly to not even stop along that road.
Looks like a failed geohash this time.
