I looked at the hashpoint during the day, and finally decided I'd make a swing at it after work, despite having written it off earlier. I printed out the Google Maps page and headed out.
Expedition
The expedition didn't start out very well. It started an expedition without GPS, since the GPS had dead batteries and was unprogrammed. Luckily, I had a couple of spare batteries in the car, so soon it was both receiving and programmed.
However, my raincoat was forgotten at work, and it soon started to rain, making venturing out of the car a potentially soggy experience. Like most Portland area geohashes, this one proved to be in an Ag area.
However, the route there was very pretty, despite the gathering gloom.
Close to the hashpoint, I passed an interesting looking barn. It was very long, but there seemed to be some sort of wrought-iron mesh near to what should be stalls. I'll have to take a closer look someone time when I'm in the area with more light and time.
I missed the final road and had to back-track to it. Once there, it looked like I needed to cross private property, but I wasn't certain if I wouldn't get closer following the road around a curve. (I was still thousands of feet away.) However, I needed to get home, so I turned around and headed back in search of the missing raincoat.
