The hash lies in Hirschhagen, the place was built as an ammunition factory during the Second World War. Many forced workers and concentration camp prisoners had to work here.

Plans
I will hitchhike to Eschenstruth, and walk to Hirschhagen. A heavy storm is going around here, and if it does so tommorrow too, I will take the tram.
On my way to 2015-02-17 51 9, I passed a quarter of houses. A woman told me, that this was the place, where the foreign forced workers lived. |
Expedition
I hitchhiked from Kassel to Eschenstruth and the driver brought me to the upper end of the quarter Waldhof. This was a settlement for workers of Hirschhagen, too. Then I walked uphill through the forest and I found results of yesterday's storm. I felt unhappy as I walked under the half fallen trees. And it looked dangerous.
As I arrived at Hirschhagen it started to grauupel, later it snowed.
The only colour I found was this tree with easter eggs. Then I walked to the hash.
In front of the hash stood a board with information about the sorts of explosives, which were produced here. Before and after the hash I visited all boards around there. You can read them here: http://hirschhagen.de/index.php/themenweg.html
Views to the hash. The hash lay 35 meters away. I didn't ask the left owner, because I didn't think, that somebody, who closes his yard with duct tape, would come out in the snow and opens the gate for me.
Bad feeling. Coordinates not reached and too much snow.
Then I walked to the other side for a look. In a weather without snow I would have tried a way through the trees. But with the snow I couldn't see the ground and therefore I didn't walk there.
On the other side of the hash I found this view to the valley.
Then I walked down to Fürstenhagen and it snowed more and more and I decided not to hitchhike but to take the tram. |
