Plans
First attempt at this virgin graticule, aiming for Level 2 of Minesweeper. Tried to drive there having my brother visiting.
Expedition
Left home around 10am, drove all the way to Colonia Caroya and then some, thru a beautiful long avenue with big trees at both sides, in a sunny day of Autumn. On the way we isited a statue of what I suppose to be the first Italian (friulian) immigrants of the zone and took some pictures.
Next, we abandoned the paved road to get some dirt going to the little town of Tinoco (pop. 169), in a very rural area. After some scary driving in loose sand for several km we reached the field where the hashpoint supposedly laid but were stopped by a closed gate with a barking dog.
Then we went East 2km and tried to reach the hashpoint from that side, but got stopped again by another chain-and-lock gate even further from the actual point. The nearest point we came was a little more of 1km South of today's coordinates.
Anyway, we kept the spirit up and went to a restaurant in Colonia Caroya for some pasta before coming back home.
