Finally a hash inside my hometown! Only 1.6 km from my house. Too bad it's located on the grounds of the chemical plant, and therefore strictly off-limits to casual visitors. Still, should be interesting to see how close we can get.

Expedition

Got on my bike after work and headed for the factory. Of course there was a No Trespassing sign on the first gate I passed, but since the hash was located somewhere on the far side of the factory grounds, I decided to go around the factory and see if it was at least visible. There is a canal flowing behind the plant, but there's also a tall fence, probably to keep riverine invaders at bay. Interestingly, there was a door in the fence right in front of where the hash should be, so I decided to take a picture of it and settle for the expected No Trespassing Consolation Prize.

This looks like the main entrance. Maybe I should have gone for Chemical Engineering at university; I could have achieved a Cubicle Geohash today!

Anyone arriving in Delft by train today should be able to see the hash. But from the road you just can't.
