We have rejoined with Jessica and Jake - they came to see us this time - so a geohashing expedition was a necessity. Today's target in the Big Rapids graticule was not far away and looked to be just inside the border of a field, with possibly a tractor-track leading directly to the hashpoint. On the satmap the field was unplanted, but of course it's now late July and there was no telling what would be growing there.
It was easy to find the nearest approach point on the road. The tractor-track turnoff was also clear, but there was a single piece of twine stretched across it acting as a gate, and the field was dense with soybean plants. We obeyed the nonverbal "do not enter" request and didn't go into the field. Can't win 'em all, but you can enjoy 'em all, and we did!
