Today's expedition was a retroactive failure.
Me, #1, and #5 reached a wall around someone's property. The point was just on the other side. But the circle of GPS uncertainty covered the point easily, which meant there was just as much chance the point was on our side of the wall. So we called it a success.
My wife was in the car with #3 and #4, who had fallen asleep. After they woke up and we did some fun things in the area, I took them to the point - and this time the circle of GPS uncertainty was very clear: the point was not on our side of the wall. But by this time it was too late at night and the family too embarrassed to let me ring the intercom and ask to be let in. So it's a No Trespassing consolation prize 😦
