This user earned the Beast of burden geohash achievement
by harnessing the power of an animal in order to reach the ({{{latitude}}}, {{{longitude}}}) geohash on [[{{{date}}} {{{latitude}}} {{{longitude}}}|{{{date}}}]].

Claim this achievement when you use the power of a living animal for a significant part of your travel to a successful geohash and provide the necessary documentation. Possibilities include riding a horse, driving a dogsled; or operating an electric skateboard for which the electricity is generated by squirrels running on treadmills.

Travelling in a vehicle that uses fuel made from animals or their waste products does not qualify for this achievement.

Beasts

No matter how spirited your bicycle, and no matter how beastly your brother, machines (even if demonically possessed), and humans do not qualify as beasts of burden. Find a horse, donkey, ox, yak, camel, dromedary, llama, elephant, zebu, sled dog, zebra, mule or other living animal that can be ridden, yoked, harnessed or otherwise made to convey you.

Hobby horses and horse disguises do not count either, but if you travel a significant distance to a geohash while disguised as a horse, I think we can make you your own award, just not this one.

Travel Partway

You do not need to travel the entire way from your origin to the geohash under animal power. It is permissible both to travel some distance by another means to reach the animal(s) and to leave the animal at an intermediate point before reaching the geohash. For example you may tether a horse to a tree while you venture further on foot or alight from a dolphin-drawn coracle in order to investigate a geohash location on shore. Your travel in the animal-powered conveyance should, however represent progress towards the geohash.

Note that the animal must carry you not just your GPS. For the latter, see the Geohash By Proxy achievement.

Jumping on the back of an animal that happens to be available near the geohash does not qualify for this achievement and is not a good idea, especially if the animal is large, wild and carnivorous.

Proof

In addition to the usual proof of reaching the geohash, please provide pictures of you with the animal-powered conveyance and GPS, demonstrating progress towards the geohash. If the power generated by the animal is stored in e.g. a battery, please submit sufficient evidence to show that animal power charged the battery. Training your cat to activate your mains-powered battery charger does not qualify for this achievement.
