The Hot and bothered achievement can be claimed when, in the course of an expedition, you become both hot and bothered, at least partially caused by the local air temperature. Specifically:
- hot enough that you would say "it was very hot"; and
- bothered enough that you would say "it was unpleasant" or words to that effect.
If you are able to keep your cool despite the hot temperature (perhaps because of air conditioning, shade, misting devices etc), you can't claim this achievement. Staying cool and smug is its own reward.
If the air temperature is objectively very high, but it doesn't bother you, you also can't claim it.
You do not need to reach the coordinates in order to claim this achievement.
Note for non-native-English speakers: "Hot and bothered" is a colloquial expression that has a range of meanings in different regions, such as flustered, angry or even sexually aroused, but in the context of this achievement it's being used literally.
