Spider Identity
I was in Amherst, MA in June of 1994, and saw a similar spider named Maude in the parking lot of the mall. It is possible that Maude has spent the intervening 14 years commuting from Amherst to Auburn. We didn't speak during our brief meeting in 1994, so I don't know if Maude had any plans on becoming an xkcd fan... nor can I say with any certainty that she had any plans on moving to Auburn, either.
