Hey Ted, out of curiosity, how did the conversation with the farm owner go? I've been wondering what approach to take, myself (FAQ answer notwithstanding). --Tapin 21:21, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

The owner didn't answer. We were about to just go ahead (it was a mown hayfield), but there was a nearby clearly-home neighbor, and I wanted to double-check that local-customs didn't include shooting people sitting in hayfields. The guy was very cool, asked about what we were doing, wanted to talk motorcycles a bit. He explained that the field-owner was probably home, but was hard of hearing and maybe didn't answer. At any rate, all went smoothly, and we had a great meetup :)
