From Geohashing
"Zürich +1. Your turn, München!" (Chris 47 8)
- München +1 too :P
- But as said, you had advance (especially on the beginning of the month, where I just neglected to check the hashes). So January will probably be difficult to take from you. It doesn't mean we're giving up ^^ there's still 2 days more where the hashes aren't known, who knows what the divitiny of wall street and md5 are preparing for us. Ah and speaking of achievements ribbons, it seems the one you claim for December 2012 may not be not really deserved, as Atlanta, Georgia had 7 successful expeditions :P (Sorry for that, but in period of war everything is good to attack the opponent >:-) Ah and congrats for this one too of course ;) — Zertrin 16:58, 28 January 2013 (EST)
- You're right about 2012-12. That last one was reported quite late, and I've been a little rash to award the ribbon.
- Anyway, Chris: Did I ever tell you you're awesome? I'd already decided to cancel a class for the first time ever (you try and find a substitute so quickly) and go there, but when I saw your planning page, everything was alright. Thank you! --Calamus 03:22, 29 January 2013 (EST)
- hehe, thanx. how about tomorrow? its in a reachable distance, but again just another small village in Aargau. are you in the mood to go there? :) --Chris 47 8 14:43, 29 January 2013 (EST)
- You bet. No Argovian village evades me. So far, that is.
- The Münchner point is halfway to Augsburg, but it's next to a highway exit, so if any of them has no ecological conscience, that one's done. That's why tomorrow's point is vital for us. --Calamus 16:38, 29 January 2013 (EST)
- About transportation: seeing how often you take this kind of transportation, I was wondering if you had some kind of annual ticket or something that let you take trains without it being prohibitively expensive? (because trains are expensive, at least in France, and also in Germany without the "Bayern Ticket").
- As of tomorrow, we'll compensate the ecological issue by trying to fill the car with as much people as possible ;) — Zertrin 16:57, 29 January 2013 (EST)
- If there was an annual graticule pass, I'd be the first one to buy it. ^^
- No, I've got Switzerland-wide half-fare combined with free transport in Zurich city, as well as nation-wide free transport starting at 7pm. Don't look at me, that system wasn't my idea. This combination lets you get around for pretty little money, though, which I then consider a contribution to my environment. I'm thinking about upgrading to a general travelcard to make myself independent from the clock.
- But yeah, trains are definitely cheaper in CH than they are in D. About F, I think single tickets are a little cheaper there, but if you want something more long-term, they make you bleed. I even heard an abonnement forfait at SNCF costs about 10k€ each year, and that's just trains, excluding busses, ships, metro, trams and whatever else you need.
- If you get four people into your car, I think the environmental damage accountable to each one of them may be just about forgivable. :D --Calamus 17:15, 29 January 2013 (EST)
