Geohashing in 2009

December: starting out as a slow month, I think Portland may snipe us! --LuxMundi 14:47, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Ahhh.... Never --NWoodruff 15:46, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
You were right! Should never have doubted!!!--LuxMundi 17:57, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

January: Also started out as a slow month but in the end we ended up snatching the pebble out of the hand of Melbourne, Australia for Most Expeditions. --NWoodruff 01:30, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Globalhash

The January 12th Globalhash is on an Augusta, Georgia access road or joint driveway. This is EXTREMELY reachable. We need to find a local hasher! --Bill^2 15:59, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Also, the globalhash is in Alabama tomorrow and looks very easy (i.e. roadside.) You guys should go for it!! -- OtherJack (talk) 13:56, 21 September 2016 (UTC)

I got my own alert email. I'm in the process of renting a car as we speak. I should ask Million Zillion if he wants to go.--NWoodruff (talk) 14:10, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
Cool!! -- OtherJack (talk) 14:11, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
Going for a 3-fer on globalhashes, I see? I would like to get my first... That's a four hour trip, each way. I could use the change of pace, and I certainly don't mind splitting for gas/rental fees in a carpool, but actually finding gas on the highway could be a bit iffy for the next few days, what with the pipeline spill and recovery. Still, it seems very doable. When are you going to leave? Million zillion (talk) 19:16, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
Check your email Million zillion --NWoodruff (talk) 19:31, 21 September 2016 (UTC)

Thomcat sighting

Business trip; will be staying at 33.761618, -84.387205 Oct 31 through Nov 3. Available evenings, will keep an eye out for a geohash near transportation. --Thomcat (talk) 17:35, 24 October 2016 (UTC)

Non Business: will be with in 20 miles Oct 31 through Nov 3. Available evenings for dinner/sightseeing at a minimum if a geohash is not in the area. --NWoodruff (talk) 18:54, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
Well today's Atlanta point doesn't look too reasonable (woods near Douglasville, likely private property). Up for a meeting at Max Lager's? Looks like our flight arrives just before 6:00, then we have to wend our way north. Will advise. --Thomcat (talk) 13:35, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
In holding pattern... Like what I did with that? I'm likely going to take my 5 year old son walking neighborhoods tonight. --NWoodruff (talk) 13:48, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
Customer meeting tomorrow at 10am; flight out early evening. Will check points for here and Orlando :) --Thomcat (talk) 22:25, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
What happened to Nov 3rd?? I was looking forward to meeting up with you...?--NWoodruff (talk) 22:54, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
Atlanta is the temporary base. Back from Orlando Wed then drive to SC. --Thomcat (talk) 13:10, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
Tell your pilot you want to take off from 9L. That will not put you within the 10 meter requirement but should get you within 100 feet. --NWoodruff (talk) 13:46, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
Google Map --NWoodruff (talk) 13:48, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
Tonights neighborhood looks okay from a phone. Debating a stop on the way to SC. --Thomcat (talk) 22:37, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
Debated and done. Back tomorrow after 9am meeting near Clemson. --Thomcat (talk) 23:40, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
Ended up spending time in Athens and then heading straight to the airport for a late afternoon departure. Next time I will squeeze more availability into the schedule! Coming to the northwest anytime soon? --Thomcat (talk) 13:48, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
