Maplestar is a church organist, who was born in the Renfrew, Ontario graticule, attended university in the Kingston, Ontario graticule, and has also briefly lived in the Longlac, Ontario and Timmins, Ontario graticules. I now live in the Norfolk, Virginia graticule.

I discovered this site in May 2011, and am currently planning for my first expedition tomorrow, when the point falls on a road only a couple of blocks from a possible route home from work.

I like exploration but am not so fond of the outdoors, so I'm not likely to go for any exotic points, though I have considered a "drive to the nearest road to the hashpoint" activity to see some places I wouldn't ordinarily go...but maybe I'll hold off on that until the price of gas returns to more usual levels.
