Geohashes

Expedition 1

I cycled from the town of St Andrews to the location. The co-ordinates were unfortunately in a very muddy field which was private land and had pigs on, so whilst I ruined my trousers dashing in to the pig pen and out again, I have no picture of me on the exact point. I also realised when I arrived that I had no way of showing the GPS on my phone, and there was no data connection available to use Google Maps. I had to settle for the very tedious method of geo-tagging pictures until I was standing outside the right pen, before making my attempt.
The kind couple who took my picture happened to be from my home county, the only reason this is interesting is because my home county is about 500 miles away from the geohash location.
All in all it was good fun, and I have discovered a few flaws in my setup that need to be remedied, namely having a way of showing GPS co-ordinates in raw terms on my phone.

Expedition 2

Squibakou and I walked from our house up to the geohash point on the hill to our south. We stopped at the farm shop opposite for a spot of lunch, before continuing on along the ridge to the west, and heading home.

Expedition 3

Squibakou and I cycled to the geohash point on the beach next to the town of our residence. I left a note from the internet at the hashpoint, well as close to the hash point as we got, due to my phone running out of battery and nolonger being able to display GPS co-ordinates. Managed to snap some pictures as it died though, all was not lost

Expedition 4

Squibakou and I cycled to the geohash on the edge of town. It was not good weather though and I was glad for being fully clad in waterproofs. The hashpoint was on the border between a garden and a field, which was fortunate as the field was very muddy and I wouldn't have wanted to venture into it.
