Bloomington Indiana is part of the Indianapolis, Indiana, graticule.
The city is well known for several things. First being Indiana University (IU) which was (formerly) listed as the best party school in the county. IU is still arguably the best party school in the county, however, everyone who wishes to make the argument is passed out or running around shirtless screaming "wooo!" when it's time for making the case.
Bloomington is also the home town of Captain Kathryn Janeway. This is a very important fact for the (very few) ardent Star Trek: Voyager fans.
Bloomington, being a college town, also has a large bar to people and liqueur store to people ratio. There is something like 1 bar for ever 10 people and roughly the same ratio of liqueur stores to people.
