Well it looks like Mr. Bow Tie will be writing this one up. A little more than a month after my previous expedition and now I have made to points in a row without failure. I first check the point at 11:00am after running morning errands and could not believe my eyes. The point was amazing. Not only was it not in the ocean, but it was on the "good" side of the St. Johns River. And not only was it on the "good" side of the St. Johns River, but it was actually in Orange Park, for only the third time in recent memory. I immediately called my younger brother to plan it out. We both knew we were going to be walking so all we had to do was decide upon a time and rendezvous location. Since we are both fans of le Tour de France we agreed that we would meet at the Starbucks at the corner of Blanding and Bolton around 12:15pm. We met, got a couple of those strawberry things with a gift card one of my students gave me and walked the last 400m or so to the point. It was very uneventful, very unexciting; lame almost. Very little thrill. Too short. Too calculated. Too easy. But we'll take it. We snapped some pictures, walked back to Starbucks to throw away our now empty cups and went our separate ways.

On a lucky note: The point was less than 1km from my work. Close enough for an honorable mention.

The Plan

Well it looks like Mr. Bow Tie will be writing this one up. A little more than a month after my previous expedition and now I have made it to two points in a row without failure.
