::::::Dude, thank you so much. I have one more question: since this is my first geohash, I want to try and get a few acheivements. Do i claim them on the expedition report, and if so, where? can I then put those on my profile? Also, I do not have a gps device, so to prove I made it, would it count if i provided various screenshots from Google Earth showing that the location is in this alley, and then photos showing me there?--[[User:Ryanb|Ryanb]] 06:12, 30 August 2009 (UTC) | ::::::Dude, thank you so much. Adding an expedition
I have no idea how to set up an expedition page, and this web site does not offer any help. please help. --ryanb 22:21, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Ryan, check out Expedition for information on how to add an expedition page. If you have any other questions about that, feel free to ask! --davidc 22:29, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- And, do let us know if the help pages don't help you, cause that means we need to re-write them! Jiml 23:02, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- When it says "create a link to the page", basically, you go to your graticule page, for example Berlin, Germany, and add some text there linking to the page, for example
- * ryanb is going today to [[2009-08-29 52 13]]
- (replace the date and coordinates with your own). Save that page and the new link will show in red, showing that the expedition page doesn't exist yet. So you click on it to edit it and create the new page. Joanna just updated Expedition too with a quick and easy way to make the new page, see the new first section. --davidc 23:33, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- Perfect, you did it exactly right so far. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, everyone will be happy to help and it's easy to change things back if you break something :-) --davidc 00:17, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot for all the help, I just noticed that I titled it wrong. Anyways, thank you for all the help.
- No problem - and you can use ":" to indent replies like on this page (and use the squiggly signature icon above the text box on the right hand side to sign your name/time) --davidc 00:31, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
