Expedition
We had a day of hack-and-slashery ahead of us, with a 12 noon start time, so we left Smileville round 11AM. We reached Pluckemin 20 minutes later, following the silly, convoluted directions from Bing Maps. (Summary: 202 North to 287 North to 202 South to the first U-turn for 202 North again. Sigh.)
What I had expected to find was a complex of apartment buildings, and that we'd be able to walk around between them. But the duplexes we actually encountered were, ahem, nicer than all that. The buildings themselves were only 20 feet apart at most. The grassy center formed by a number of buildings was more of a common back yard than open space. Our closest approach was about 110 feet.
