Area Information
The Albuquerque graticule is moderately accessible for geohashing since virtually none of it falls on water or other similarly difficult areas to access. Most of the urban areas (greater Albuquerque metro area) are simple to get to, as well as much of the private land on the west mesa. A good portion of the graticule is public lands (National Forest, BLM, or state land), although a very large area in the middle of the graticule falls on Pueblo Indian reservations, and is therefore off limits without specific permission from the tribe. The BLM 100k quads for New Mexico are all posted for free online and can be very useful in determining land ownership prior to undertaking an expedition (the Albuquerque graticule is covered by the Albuquerque and Los Alamos quads).
