Fun fact: the entire area around the airport has been remodeled in the past years, and after first looking at the outdated satellite imagery on Google Maps I had located the geohash in some fenced-off industrial yard. Plans

It's close to the city, so how about a short bicycle trip? Will try to be there around 16:00h.

Expedition

Left home at ~15:00h and cycled towards the airport. I already knew a nice cycling route around the airport which passes some hundred meters from the geohash, so it was easy going, except for the slight drizzle. Arrived at the park at 16:00h and quickly found the spot - this is the easiest geohash I've encountered so far.

Fun fact: the entire area around the airport has been remodeled in the past years, and after first looking at the outdated satellite imagery on Google Maps I had located the geohash in some fenced-off industrial yard. Comparison with the street map quickly showed that yard and fence have been replaced with some small park by now. Walking among the the peculiar-but-well-groomed bushes near the basin, it was difficult to imagine that this had been some industrial area just some years ago.

Just after finishing writing a short marker note, the drizzle increased to actual rain, so I decided it was time to head back. While cycling home, I even managed to GPS-track some small footway that's still missing on OSM. All in all, a good tour.
