I concur it would be a good bike hash, but as I have to work, impossible for me. If things went *very* quickly at baseball (roughly 5-10% of these tournament games) I could be on the 3:45 boat and arrive at 4:35 -- but arriving at 5:25 is really much more likely. --[[User:Thomcat|Thomcat]] ([[User talk:Thomcat|talk]]) 14:31, 24 May 2013 (EDT)

Bike geohash

I concur it would be a good bike hash, but as I have to work, impossible for me. If things went *very* quickly at baseball (roughly 5-10% of these tournament games) I could be on the 3:45 boat and arrive at 4:35 -- but arriving at 5:25 is really much more likely. --Thomcat (talk) 14:31, 24 May 2013 (EDT)

5:25 is fine, or even 6:20 or whenever it was. But later wouldn't be so good... should we say 5:25?
Best I can do is "time approximate after baseball", but will try for it. Will text an update once I'm at the ferry dock. This will be my first geohashing day hash. Be sure to bring your towel! --Thomcat (talk) 14:47, 24 May 2013 (EDT)

County Lines

Thomcat now has 6 of 8 counties required for a reverse regional geohash here in 47,-122.

Incidentally, OtherJack was right about the county being available in Bing maps - right next to the details about the geographic point. The lines are there also, but the individual counties (or states) are not named by the lines themselves. Now I have enough information - for instance, Sunday's geohash is in Thurston county, albeit in the water. --Thomcat (talk) 23:14, 26 May 2013 (EDT)

Good to know it actually works - you'd convinced me I was mistaken! -- OtherJack (talk) 23:22, 30 May 2013 (EDT)
