I have known about geohashing for a long time. It is on my favorites bar for an unknown number of years. But I had never visited any hash. In part because I would only visit the map a couple times every year, and it was always very far. I thought about going to my birthday hash, but it is also very far from home and at a not very safe place.

But as soon as I signed up for the geohash alarm created by Natan, I got an email when it was close to my place on 2015-01-03.

Achievements

by dragging Lucas and Sofia (children, although they were asleep in the car when we arrived) to the (-15, -47) geohash on 2015-01-03.
