Description

Two major interstates intersect this graticule: I-81 in the far southern portion (in Virginia) and I-64 in the far northern portion (in West Virginia). Most populated areas are located near one of these two interstates. The rugged and beautiful Appalachian Mountains cross the graticule from northeast to southwest. Much of the graticule is sparsely populated and farming is a common occupation. Parks, small lakes, and other recreational sites dot the map.
