  • Support. It's a similar concept to Red spider, but more challenging and interesting. --PeterRoder (talk) 12:02, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
  • Support and I'll note that (while I don't think it need be a requirement) iNaturalist can be very handy for confirming both identification and conservation status (for example, Benoît's expedition 2021-12-22 45 5). Actually, we could start a geohashing project there (edit: done but I need to figure out how to filter by tags) so relevant observations can be tracked in both places. As for the name... is 'last chance to see achievement' too much of a downer? Named after a book and TV series by Douglas Adams and Stephen Fry. Arlo (talk) 00:39, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
  • Comment: This seems fun, however, non-experts (like myself) wouldn't be able to correctly identify most species. I signed up for iNaturalist today, which takes care of the identifying process, and is for a good cause (science), I'm encouraging everyone to sign up and join the Geohashing project there. Anyway, the page currently says that the achievement is "for encountering and identifying an endangered species", that could be interpreted as having to do the interpretation by oneself, which makes the achievement a lot more difficult. If it is okay to let others handle the identification process, the achievement would have my support. --Fippe (talk) 22:24, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
  • Support as the concept seems fun, but clarification and better wording of the achievement page would be needed before it goes live. --KerrMcF (talk) 01:53, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
