This achievement should be claimed if you witness an eclipse of any kind during a geohashing expedition. You do not need to reach the geohash for this achievement to be valid. The achievement has varying levels based on how rare each eclipse is, and these are added automatically by the template.
Levels
There are many different types of eclipse that you may witness during your expedition. If you follow the template instructions correctly, this will show up on your ribbon.
- Total Solar - Level 4
- Annular Solar - Level 3
- Partial Solar - Level 2
- Total Lunar - Level 1
- Partial Lunar - Level 1
- Penumbral Lunar - Level 1
Proof
Ideally, proof will include a photo of the eclipse. As you do not need to reach the geohash to claim the achievement, the regular proof is not required for this achievement.
