This was a relatively straightforward walk, although I did make the mistake of trusting Google maps directions that tried to send me down the middle of a major road (and I have no excuses, this is an area I'm very familiar with, and took the correct route through on the return journey from yesterday's hash).

The rest rest of the route, which I'd planned to be alongside major roads, went much better. Eventually I reached the point where my footpath left the A5, to find it very overgrown. I spent a while trampling it down, then headed into the field.

The field

This was a crop field, albeit with no crops currently growing there, but there was a tractor working it, so I decided to just get as close as I could along the edge of the field before returning home.

The return journey was completely uneventful.
