I went by, but it was on private land. My GPS had it on the wrong side of the road based on the map I printed out, so I'll need to sort that one out.
As it turns out, I came in from the end of Bald Peak furthest away from the hashpoint, and not the one that I remembered from the map, so it was on the "right" side. I didn't particularly consult the map after (or before) I got to Bald Peak Road, since I've been there a number of times.
